First Annual Halloween House Decorating Contest

Hill and Dale Garden Club is pleased to announce our First Annual Halloween House Decorating Contest.

The villages of Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow have a new Halloween event: 

a Halloween house decorating contest, sponsored by Hill and Dale Garden Club,

and open to every property in the 10591 zip code.  Decorations can include

anything—lights, folk art, the more common gravestones and skeletons—

you name it!

Each property will be judged between 7PM and 9PM during

the week of October 21-26, 2013, by a five-member panel.

Judging will be done from the street or the sidewalk.

The winner will receive a cash prize (plus media recognition and community-wide bragging rights).

There is a $5 entry fee, part of which will go toward the winner’s prize and

part toward the Garden Club’s beautification project, Lakeside Gardens at the Tarrytown Lakes.
